Create a Data Source via Tableau Connector by Alpha Serve on ServiceNow side. Export the data into Tableau Desktop Worksheet.

How to publish data on Tableau server and create a scheduled task

  1. Sign in Tableau server. Enter server access credentials on the browser tab and check if you signed in successfully.

2. Create a workbook and hit the Share button.

3. Adjust all needed information, such as a project, a workbook name, and a scheduled period, and publish the data to the server.

4. The workbook should be published on the server. Find the project the workbook was published to and you can check the View of the Workbook, the Data Source and under Extract Refreshes tab the scheduled task for the workbook.

 

5. You can run the update manually on Tasks tab
