How to Create Data Source
Being signed in to your Jira Cloud instance, select Apps, and then select Power BI Connector for Jira.

Select Create data source.

In the Name* field, enter data source name.
The Description field is optional. You can enter data related to your data source or some hints you might need in the future.

Select Sharing settings.
You may share this data source with users who have permissions to work with Power BI Connector for Jira. Therefore, next steps are optional.
Users with administrator permissions have access to all data source by default.
In the Users field, enter the username you want to share data source with.
In the Group field, select group you need.

Select all tables you want to be in your data source.

Select filters you need, and then select Save.

Incorporate Custom fields into your data extraction process. Locate the Issue Custom Fields table under the Jira Work Management tab. To read more click here.
Export Calculated fields including data about the time issue spent in certain status and per assignee. The connector automatically performs all calculations, providing ready-to-use data on metrics like Issue Time in Status and Issue Time by Assignee.

To ensure the data relations are built correctly before saving the data source, you can view ERD (Entity Data Relationships) using the Preview ERD button.
