User Guide

Your Jira Cloud administrator should grant you permissions to create, edit, view, and export connectors. Users with Administer JiraΒ permissions always have access to app configurations.

How to Export Data from Jira to Oracle Analytics

Create access token

An access token functions like a password, so each user is required to create it individually. Jira Administrator cannot create access tokens for other users for security reasons.

Create data source

A data source is the primary source of data sets containing tables and fields for further analysis. It represents the data selected by the user for export to Oracle Analytics.

Export Data from Jira to Oracle Analytics

Exporting data from Jira to Oracle Analytics involves connecting to Oracle Analytics using a previously created access token and transferring the datasets included in the data source.

History

The History module has been implemented as a separate tab of the Oracle Analytics Connector. The module includes the following submodules:

  • Data sources history

  • Export history

Data Schema

When you upload your Jira data into Oracle Analytics, all tables will be connected in relations based on the logical key field. Thus, users don’t need to relate tables, which is time-consuming manually.
