How to Export Data Requiring Jira API Token

To export certain tables, you'll need to add a Jira API token. These tables include:

  • Project Roles: only the Administrator can export this table

  • Group Members: only the Administrator can export this table

  • User Jira Properties: only the Administrator can export this table

  • User Profiles

  • Sprint Reports

  • Sprint Report Issues

  • Velocity Charts

  • All Assets (Insight) tables

  • Users: you can't export inactive users without a Jira API token

In all other cases, a Jira API token is not necessary.

  1. Go to Account settings

2. Click a “Create and manage API tokens” link in the Security tab

3. Click Create API token button

4. Enter an API token name and click Create

5. Make sure you copy your new API token. You won’t be able to see the token again.

  1. Select Apps, and then select BigQuery for Jira.

  1. On the left-side menu, select API Integrations, and then ensure you are on the Jira API token tab.

  1. In the Email* field, enter email you use with your Jira Cloud instance.

  2. In the API Token* field, paste your newly-created API token, and then select Validate & Save.
