Now you can select different locations where data can be stored and processed. This function is available from BigQuery Connector:

  1. Open BigQuery Connector for Jira.

  2. Select Data Sources, and then select Create data source.

  3. Select Dataset location settings.

BigQuery Connector provides three types of data locations:

  • Default is selected by default. If you don’t specify the location, your data will be stored in a single region within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Region is a specific geographic place, such as London.

  • Multi-region is a large geographic area, such as the United States, that contains two or more regions. Multi-region locations can provide larger quotas than single regions.

The option is only available for newly-created datasets. Changing the data location configuration for all previously created datasets is impossible.
