Before you start:
Please note! Mail Me works only if your custom SMTP server is configured. Otherwise emails can’t be sent. To set up custom SMTP server follow the instructions here.
Make sure Outgoing Mail is enabled in your Jira settings:
Step 1. Go to the Jira Administration tab and select System section.
Step 2. On the left side menu panel find MAIL tab and click Outgoing Mail.
Step 3. If Outgoing Mail is disabled, enable it by clicking Enable Outgoing Mail.
Step 4. After step 3 default SMTP server should be enabled.
